b1. You must be fluent in English.

b2. Your work must be original and created by you; it must not contain any third party materials, ideas or rights, except the ones explicitly allowed, such as stock allowed ressources, content offered by the partners providing the briefs. By entering solutions to briefs, you confirm your (and your team) work is original and does not infringe anyone else’s intellectual property rights.

b3. Once you enter the School’s competitions, you accept that your work and your social media profiles will be uploaded on the school’s digital platforms (web, social media). You can opt out at any time, according to the privacy & gdpr section, to be consulted for details.

b4. The winning entry & the submitted ideas will become the property of the competition’s sponsor. The Alternative school will act as a liaison to ensure that the sponsor contacts the winning students if they decide to further research their ideas. Depending on the sponsor, there might be a financial reward if the ideas are implemented. In the implementation case, the idea will be always credited to you / your teammate in name by the sponsor and the school, mentioning the context of the school’s program & competition. At their turn, the students & competitors can upload in their portfolio the work submitted in the competitions, mentioning the context. The reasons for removal can be related to aggressive, offensive or inappropriate content, copyright infringement or unfit behavior, such as racial, gender or any other sort of discrimination towards colleagues, speakers or fellows met in social contexts provided by the school.

c. If selected to represent Romania & #TheAlternativeSchool in an international competition, several rules apply:

c1. you will post daily relevant content from the event you are attending, on your social media channels, in collab with #TheAlternativeSchool, following the footsteps of the previous generations and the school & sponsor’s guidance. The minimum number of posts / stories is 3 per day and every single one, consisting of insightful, valuable information from the festival, will be followed by the school’s and the sponsor's hashtags.

c2. You understand that by going in an international context, you also represent The School, the sponsor, the industry and your country. Intelligent behavior & proper social attitudes are encouraged. By infringing those rules with unfit, impolite, aggressive or risky behavior (for you or others) you understand you might be obliged to return the value of the experience (taxes & accommodation), so other people could properly benefit from the opportunity. The festivals and events experiences are meant to offer you learning and networking opportunities, but they are not a personal holiday get away. Social drinking is accepted. Drinking large quantities of alcohol, leading to health problems and thus unavailability to attend seminars and workshops at your best is not.

c3. Once selected for the international competitions you will make yourself available for interviews, shooting sessions with the sponsor as well as at the festivals and you will create your own official t-shirt adapting the sponsor’s message to your team style, blending in the values of the sponsors’ brand, your team’s and the school’s.

d. The school will cover the entrance fee and the accommodation for the winners of the Young Lions competitions attending the whole festival. The competitors will pay for their transportation from their cities to Cannes and back, making sure they will be available to attend the competition, the seminars, the workshops and the networking events for the entire duration of the Cannes Lions festival.

e.The school will cover the travel ticket and the accommodation for the Roger Hatchuel student winner attending the whole Cannes Lions festival.

f. If the winners of the Young Lions or Roger Hatchuel competitions are unable to attend the entire Cannes Lions festival, they should notify the school’s organization in 3 working days from the moment of the winners’ announcement, so the following competitors will take their place. They will receive a free spot at the next edition of the school and access, for a year, at the school’s events.

For the school to properly function and beautifully evolve, we need constant ressources. One of the formulas is via sponsorship, especially for the contexts related to Roger Hatchuel & Young Lions competitions. This is why, by solving the briefs offered by the sponsors, you accept letting them select, adapt or use your ideas. They will always have to mention you and the context of the school, acknowledging publicly their support for the program and your talent & contribution in the process. You can also use the context to improve and communicate your portfolio, as its highlight piece.

e.Usually sponsors can finance events, sections of the program or an entire competition category, be it Young Lions or Roger Hatchuel Academy. By attending the school, you accept that your creative solutions will be communicated publicly via website & social media platforms.

f. As previously stated, as Roger Hatchuel Academy or Young Lions winners, you will have to communicate daily, from Cannes, the highlights of the day, focusing on the most interesting, relevant, meaningful, new and appealing ideas / campaigns / seminars / workshops.
